scientific journal article critique, writing homework help

Hi, I am a psychology major taking a course in neurophysiology. I am writing a journal critique and am struggling with a specific portion of my paper. Specifically the section under “Analysis” called “Critical Evaluation of research shortcomings” and also the section on “Ideas for subsequent experiments”. I need some help finding the shortcomings in the research and also I need further research ideas. I am aware that many journal article authors include shortcomings in their research under the discussion segment of their paper. However, I was not able to find any that they discussed. Can you please help me find the shortcomings of this journal article and think of subsequent ideas for further research on this topic? Thank you very much!
